In Śrī Muni’s subtle exposition, Dhūmāvatī becomes the tantric embodiment of renunciation and Self-inquiry, where the application of intelligence (Vidyā) is directed only to realize the Self, and ignorance (Avidyā) is skillfully used to veil distraction.
